Valtra sponsors Finnish ice hockey champions
04/15/2009Jyväskylä based JYP team has won Finnish Championship in ice hockey. Valtra has been the main sponsor for JYP since 2004. The finals were set as a goal for co-operation already in 2004.
Ice hockey team JYP won Finnish Championship clearly by winning the regular season and playing the finals without a defeat.
Valtra and JYP started co-operation as both shared the same values like team play, professionalism and long-span development work. Both Valtra and JYP have learned a lot from each other during the collaboration. Practical examples of the co-operation are hockey schools for Valtra customers´ children, lecturing events within both organisations and naturally great experiences in the matches, which JYP has offered for Valtra personnel, Valtra partners and customers.
Co-operation with JYP has given Valtra publicity out of the traditional farming media and new positive associations have been added to Valtra brand. In addition to ice hockey Valtra has been sponsoring motor sports like rally and tractor pulling. Compared to motor sports JYP co-operation has been targeted more to the domestic market and other partners in co-operation than customers.
